Most steer are butchered between 1100 and 1400 lbs. Our price for the farmer and the processing is based on hanging weight. Hanging weight is approximately 60% of live weight. Fully processed weight is approximately 60% of hanging weight. These are estimates and are to be used as such.

Hanging Weight estimate for full steer - 720 lbs
Price to Farmer estimate - $2880
Price to Butcher for Processing - $835
Total cost for full steer - $3715
Processed weight estimate - 450 lbs
Estimated price per lb - $8.25 per lb
Prices could be higher if custom processing includes extra items above standard processing. For example - pre-pattied burgers, stew meat, hot sticks or summer sausage are all additional costs.
Pricing also differs based on the live weight of the animal.
